Dream Interpretation: Dreaming & the Arts

In this dreamwork class, participants will have fun learning ways to honor and work with dreams. We will learn how to increase dream recall, the significance of recurring dreams, the value of nightmares , and how to create a personal dream dictionary: a tool for dreamers. Students will also be taught the Lightening Dreamwork process created by renowned author Robert Moss, a technique that quickly grasps the gift of a dream and also promotes dream sharing. Working with dreams brings healing into our lives and greatly increases creative flow. No artistic ability is required to express your dreams through the arts. We use many creative ways to honor the dream and have you see it from a different perspective. Participants are encouraged to bring a journal and an inquisitive mind.

World Café: Just Who Do You Think You Are?

This workshop proposes to be one of the most exciting that Art n Soul has ever done.  World Café is an intentional way to create a living network of conversation around questions that matter. A Café Conversation is a creative process for leading collaborative dialogue, sharing knowledge and creating possibilities for action in groups of all sizes.  World Café is a metaphor for an innovative set of tools and methods for evolving collective intelligence and creative futures. World Café helps us appreciate the importance and connectedness of the informal webs of conversation and social learning.

Between individuals and within organizations, we generate meaning as a result of the quality of the conversations in which we participate. In fact, we create our world and its future through a process of connecting with each other, sharing knowledge and know-how, and building relationships--all through the process of collaborative conversation.

Building a Labrynth

Over the past ten years Labyrinths have undergone a dramatic revival as a meditation, relaxation and spiritual tool. Beginning in churches in the United States, this renewal now encompasses spiritual communities of all types, hospitals & health care facilities, spas & retreat centers, schools & universities, public parks, memorials & healing gardens, prisons and even progressive businesses. Labyrinths have appeared in such varied settings as Central Park in New York City, Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore and a downtown square in Zurich, Switzerland.

Once you know the "seed pattern" for drawing a labyrinth it is easy to lay it out on the ground and use the pattern to construct a labyrinth. The seed pattern with proper dimensions is laid out on the ground with the building material. Paths are then added one at a time until completion. Sue Harris will walk us through the ancient tradition of building a labrynth.

By using visualization, the chakra's, energy work and some very simple art techniques you will help yourself tune into where you feel blocked, stressed. In doing so you can break the tension before a bad day turns into a bad week and on and on. We learn to turn off the inner critical voice and reignite your child like enthusiasm.

No artistic experience needed.

In PART 2 of this workshop, we will continue working with the chakra's and energy work through meditation to become unblocked.
