Harmony is the art of using pitch simultaneously in music. Notes are considered to be in harmony when they share the same frequency. Harmony is a pleasing combination of tones that brings forth unity and accord. When people are in harmony, their opinions and actions are compatible. My mother used to sing “You Are My Sunshine” and harmonize with my sister and I while we did the dishes after dinner. This painting is dedicated to my mother and her uncanny ability to bring harmony to our family.
