Tulips Without a Cause    Albany, NY - May, 2007.

These tulip petals are off in their own world, doing their own thing.  They’re the James Dean of the flora universe.  It’s as if the petals started to grow nice and straight and then decided to non-conform and twist and turn to their own rhythm, breaking free of the tulip society’s constraints. 

The little bluish ones trail behind like tulip groupies,  running after the good-looking rebels who they know are bad for them but they can't resist.
